If you haven't heard of Lagunitas Hoppy Refresher, allow us to pick up that rock for you.
This stuff is (nearly) everywhere, and for good reason. It is unbelievably crisp and light, absolutely ideal when ice cold on a hot summer afternoon. Find it on NA menus nationwide, thanks to the ubiquity of this drink's parent, Lagunitas, who in 2023 has become a brewery at an international scale.
Ok... but why should I try it?
The secret to the Hoppy Refresher's success, we think, is due in no small part to enlightened decision-making at Lagunitas. This drink doesn't pretend to be a beer, and it doesn't pretend to replace a cocktail — though you sure could float the top of one as in our Greta Garbo. It's its own thing, and has sparked innumerable competitors. But this one's the original. 98 points.
